Engineering Apprenticeships

Do you want to be taught the skills for an engineering career where each day provides a different challenge?

At Hadleigh Castings Ltd, we produce a wide range of finished aluminium castings to a high specification for a diverse range of industriesand uses.

We recruit Craft Apprentices annually amongst various skills such as Patternmaking, Machining, Inspection, and Maintenance amongst others.

If you expect to achieve a minimum of 4 GCSEs in Math, English, Science and other subject and are interested in engineering and the challenge of work but want to keep working in a practical way then this may be for you.

  • Job Requirements:

    • A minimum of 5 years experience in the Foundry Industry
    • Liaising with Sales Staff to ensure enquiries and estimates are process compliant
    • Writing and revising all Technical Specifications for the company related to goods for sale and goods or services to be purchased
    • Sub-contract management related to pre-production goods or services
    • Oversee the production of sub-contract and in-house tooling to ensure all Technical Specifications are met, and timely deliveries are achieved
    • Oversee the production of samples created in-house and at sub-contract to achieve accurately produced product, compliant to specification, and sign-off by customer to pre agreed dates
    • Ensure all process documentation is in place for production and produce or liaise as appropriate to maintain availability of visual aids, charts, or similar to underpin correct specification

  • Hadleigh Castings Ltd have an opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer, to join one of the UK’s leading Aluminium Foundries, in our modern machine shop.

    HCL specialises in the high speed CNC Machining of complex components from aluminium which involves tight tolerances and high quality to varying quantities.

    Experience in setting Vertical & Horizontal machines essential. Knowledge of Meldus, Yasnac & Fanuc would be an advantage. If you are a self motivated and flexible team player with an eye for detail, you may be interested in joining this friendly company.
