At Hadleigh Castings Limited, we believe that industrial strength should go hand-in-hand with environmental responsibility. We are proud to announce the milestone installation of a 400 k W p solar energy system, featuring 836 high-efficiency panels across our facility. This investment allows us to harness clean, renewable energy to power our foundry, offsetting our total energy consumption by over 30%.
By transitioning to on-site solar power, we are effectively reducing our carbon footprint by over 70 tonnes of CO2 every year—an impact equivalent to planting thousands of trees. This initiative significantly lowers the embodied carbon of our Aluminium castings, ensuring we deliver the high-quality components our customers rely on while proactively protecting the planet's resources.
We would like to extend our thanks to the team at Generate & Store for their expertise and partnership in bringing this project to life. Their commitment to high-performance renewable solutions has been instrumental in helping us achieve our sustainability goals and future-proof our operations.
Investment and upgrade in new Laser scanning CMM

When it comes to quality assurance, quality control and general inspection tasks, there is no tool that is more versatile than a FaroArm. The Quantum X FaroArm services enhances probing and scanning accuracy, offering up to a 15% increase in precision compared to previous models. Designed to probe or scan, articulated measurement arms are significantly more adaptable than bulkier fixed CMMs allowing you to capture your data even in challenging environments. The Quantum X is certified to ISO 10360, the highest industry standards allowing you to deliver accurate and repeatable measurements. The new xS LLP offers a significant increase in scanning speed, utilising its larger 250mm laser line allowing operators to collect data up to 1.6 times faster than the xP. All LLP’s (Laser Line Probes) utilize FARO Continuous light Rectifications (CLR) technology, ensuring high-quality scan data can be captured even on challenging surfaces.
